About.

Art is a creative and practical subject. Students have the opportunity to experiment and develop skills using a selection of materials whilst learning about art related industries as well as developing collaborative, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Students are introduced to a selection of artists, craftspeople and designers, both historical and contemporary alongside developing their drawing and painting skills and applying their own ideas to create a personal response. Art covers a broad range of subject knowledge and draws on disciplines such as mathematics, science, engineering and design.
