Principal's Presentation 2nd October 2019
February half term visit for our students to our partner school in Austria.
Congratulations to Miss Rendall and the AUEA book club!
13 AUEA CCF Cadets attended 8 AEF @ RAF Cosford for their first flying experience.
A select number of AUEA students were invited to the prestigious House of Lords...
We had plenty happening around school to support this year’s Children in Need!
Lest we forget...
In 2017, as well as our annual 2 week trip, we gave 5 students the opportunity to travel to Austria for a long-term project.
AUEA's KS4 team took part in the City of Birmingham Satellite Basketball tournament against other teams around the area.
The purpose of this trip was to contextualise the A level Biology course.
Students and staff came together to learn about and explore a wide range of religions, cultures and beliefs.
Sixth Form students who were part of ‘The Brilliant Club’ had the opportunity to go to Oxford University to graduate from the scheme.
Aston University Sixth Form Year 12 students were given an opportunity to share their knowledge and expertise learnt with us with the young people in Birmingham. This event consisted of a day spent at Ark Academy leading 4 workshops with groups of students into the world of photonics and how these technologies are changing how we work.
At Aston University Sixth Form we strive to provide our students with opportunities to ‘make themselves different’ as well as encourage them to attend events that could open doors to their futures.
Year 12 students enjoyed a day in the Engineering department at Birmingham City University.
As part of our ‘Greenpower Project’, KS5 students were given an exciting opportunity to attend the NEC Birmingham Autosport racing show which is Europe’s largest indoor motorsport event.
Students involved with our Car Building Project were offered an exciting opportunity to visit the Great British Sports Car Company in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire.
Year 10 and 11 students were given the opportunity to travel to Cosford, to experience the diverse and challenging apprenticeship roles on offer with the Royal Air Force.
